What areas do you serve at A Place of Hope MN?

Washington and Dakota County, MN. 
 

How are you affiliated with the Marines and Toys for Tots Program?

For 12 years we WERE a Toys for Tots Distributor and the Marines provided us with 20- 50% of our Toy Order.
BIG CHANGE: As of 2020, we are no longer partnering with the Marines Toys for Tots program. We will run our own local program and run local toy drives and serve infant to age 18 for families in Washington and Dakota County only in MN. 

 

Where is the Toy Drive and Toy Distribution Held Each Year?

We handout Toys at Hope Church in Oakdale. Address 7910 15th Street North, Oakdale, MN. They donate the space to us and are not affiliated with our group or Toys for Tots.   

What ages does your group help with for Toys and Stocking Stuffers?
Infant to age 18 years of age. We believe that every child up to the age of 18 deserves to have a gift for the holidays.

 

How can I sign up to be a host/sponsor of a Toy Drive, Teen Drive or Stocking Stuffers Drive?  SIGN UP HERE.

How much do you suggest for spending on main gifts and for stocking stuffers?

Suggested main gifts are $25 and stocking stuffers are $5.

 

What are great ideas for stocking stuffers and teen gifts?

We highly suggest items from the Five Below store or from Michaels for stockings stuffers. (sporting apparel, earrings, arts & crafts, cards, candy)

For main gifts, Teens love - sporting apparel, lava lamps, tennis racquets & balls, sleeping bags, blankets, comforters, earring sets, jewelry organizers, big pillows, sleds, skate boards, chess games, outdoor games, and more. Also see Teen Gift Ideas on our site.

 

Do you provide Community Hours for High School kids?

Yes, we do provide community hours for kids in school, yet not for adults out of school.

 

How can I help support this great cause?

We need volunteers age 14 and over to help with the following: Setting up the toy shop, hosting Toy Drives, making goodies for our volunteers, decorating the church and toy shop, making donations, picking up donations, helping families choose toys at the Toy Shop, clean up and more more more!
